DE Manufacturer's information brochure
ATTENTION: Disposable respirators are classified according to one of the categories FFP 1 NR D, FFP 2 NR D, and FFP 3 NR D. Before reading the following information, check the category to which the respirator belongs; this is indicated on the packaging and the respirator itself. Respirators marked with a D indicate that they have passed the dolomite dust test and are therefore suitable for use in very dusty environments. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the respirator provides the necessary level of protection for the type and concentration of contaminants in the area where the respirator is intended to be used.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: - Put on the respirator and check for leaks before entering the contaminated area. - Wear the respirator while exposed to the contaminants. - Use the respirator only in accordance with this information brochure, the applicable legal regulations, and the safety regulations of the employers' liability insurance associations, in particular DGUV Rule 112-190 and DIN EN 529 "Respiratory protective devices - Recommendations for selection, use, care, and maintenance - Guidelines." - Change the respirator immediately if: the respirator has been removed in the danger zone, breathing becomes difficult, breathing resistance increases, the respirator is damaged (for respirators that protect against vapors, if the smell of the vapors is detected). - Leave the workplace immediately if dizziness, nausea, or other symptoms occur. - For single use only, no maintenance required. Do not store and/or reuse after use.- Store unused respiratory protective equipment in clean and dry rooms, in the sealed original packaging, at temperatures between -20°C and +40°C, and at a relative humidity of < 75%.
TESTING ROOM: BSI Assurance UK Ltd., Kitemark Court, Davy Avenue, Knowlhill, Milton Keynes, MK5 8PP, UK (0086)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUTTING ON: 1. Hold the respirator in your hand so that the straps hang freely. 2. Put the respirator on under your chin, with the nose area facing upwards. 3. Take the lower strap and pull it over your head and onto your neck. Now pull the upper strap to the back of your head. 4. Only for respirators with adjustable straps: Tighten the straps by pulling their free ends backwards. You can loosen straps that are too tight as follows: grasp the buckle or slider with one hand and push the movable part from the inside outwards or slide it backwards. 5. Use both hands to adjust the respirator to the bridge of your nose.
CHECKING THE TIGHT FIT OF THE RESPIRATOR: Grip the respirator with both hands and exhale forcefully. If air leaks from the nose area, adjust the fit as described above. If other leaks occur near the edge of the mask, tighten the straps again by pulling them backward. IMPORTANT: If you are not using a respirator with adjustable straps, you can shorten the straps by tying them in knots. Then check the tight fit again.
LIMITATIONS: Do not use the respirator or enter the contaminated area if: - the oxygen content is less than 17% (UK - 19%) - the hazardous substances and concentrations are unknown and/or pose an immediate threat to life or health - the limit values are unknown and/or exceeded. The respirator does not protect the wearer from gases and vapors above the respective limit values. The respirators can be used against hazardous substances up to: FFP 1 NR D 4 times, FFP 2 NR D 10 times, and FFP 3 NR D 30 times the limit value.
WARNING: Use the original packaging for storage and transport and protect the mask from mechanical and chemical hazards. Use the respirator only in adequately ventilated areas with a sufficiently high oxygen content. Do not use in explosive atmospheres and/or during firefighting operations. The mask wearer must be familiar with its proper use and practical application. Facial hair (beard) in the area of the mask seal significantly impairs the protective effect of the respirator.
