High-quality silicate-based primer according to DIN 18363, Section 2.4.1. For strengthening mineral substrates and leveling highly or unevenly absorbent mineral surfaces. Universally applicable indoors and outdoors, for subsequent Diescolith silicate paints and Diescolith SOL silicate paints, as well as for Diessner silicate plasters. Diescolith Universal Fixative is also used as a thinner for Diessner/Diescolith silicate paints and silicate plasters.
Mix material thoroughly before use/shake canister. As a primer, dilute 2:1 with water and apply evenly wet-on-wet. On extremely absorbent substrates, apply two wet-on-wet coats. The application of the material must consolidate the substrate evenly, but must not result in a dense, glossy layer. If necessary, conduct a test coat.
Apply evenly with a brush or paintbrush.
Do not apply at air, object, or drying temperatures below +8°C. Do not apply to heated surfaces.
At +23°C and 50% relative humidity, the product can be recoated after approximately 12 hours. At lower temperatures or higher humidity, the drying time is longer.
Clean tools/equipment with water immediately after use.
The substrates must be silicifiable, solid, dry, and free of dirt, efflorescence, discoloration, fungal growth, sinter layers, fine grain layers, and separating substances. Existing old coatings must be tested for suitability, adhesion, and load-bearing capacity. Observe VOB, Part C, DIN 18363, Paragraph 3, the relevant BFS data sheets, and the technical data sheets for the respective substrate pretreatment 007/007-1 008 or 009. It is recommended to create sample areas before starting work to test the effectiveness and surface appearance.
Notes on gypsum-based base filler
For gypsum-based fillers in thin layers (edge phase Q2 or generally Q3), Diessner Hydrosol Tiefgrund should be used as a primer.
Binder base
Potassium water glass with organic additives
Color: Transparent
Density: approx. 1.05 g/ml
Storage: Store in a cool, but frost-free place. Close opened containers tightly and consume promptly. Unopened, shelf life is at least 24 months.
Consumption: Depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate, approximately 150–200 ml/m² per coat. Deviations due to surface conditions should be determined by applying a test coat.
