Wood is a natural product - and appreciates regular care
Sand the wood. Remove loose paint and dust. Protect yourself and adjacent components from contamination before you begin priming. Once dry, sand briefly and paint with your favorite color. You can choose between a glaze or an opaque coat. Done!
Preparing the wood
Before you start painting, clean all surfaces and remove any loose paint. This is best done with our sanding materials.
Protect adjacent components and your floor from contamination. Use our adhesive tape with foil or our Covering films/paper. Also, take care of your health and protect your hands and body from contamination.
Pretreating wood
Important! Impregnate all bare wood before treating it with paint/varnish. This ensures a more even surface, protects against mold growth, and allows the final coat of paint to bond better with the surface.

Rework
For intermediate sanding, use our P100 to P150 sandpaper. This will remove small imperfections, such as raised wood grain or paint drips. Be sure to sand in the direction of the wood grain!

A few more tips for choosing the right product:
Dimensionally stable wooden components include windows and doors. Limited or non-dimensionally stable wooden gratings, fences, palisades, shingles, overlapping planking, and the like are also dimensionally stable. The thick-layer glaze lasts longer and adheres to the wood, making it ideal for dimensionally stable wooden components. The thin-layer glaze penetrates the wood and is ideal for non-dimensionally stable wooden components.
