Ready-to-use, feltable, all-purpose, lightweight dispersion filler in accordance with VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures), DIN 18 363, Part C, Section 2.3.1. Specifically designed for hand application. For interior use. For coatable hand filler applications up to 12 mm thick on mortar group II, III, IV plasters, plasterboard, concrete, and existing dispersion-based coatings. For reworking textured plasters and fiberglass surfaces and for reinforcing wall surfaces in conjunction with a filler fleece. Can be used crack-free on breakouts up to 30 mm.
MEGA 603 Megamur Hand Filler, Light Coarse, is applied by hand with a stainless steel trowel, then leveled and smoothed. After drying, wet and felt or dry sand. When embedding filler fleece, apply MEGA 603 Megamur Hand Filler, Light Coarse, generously with a steel trowel and comb through evenly horizontally with a 4 x 6 x 4 mm notched trowel. Then, embed the filler fleece evenly and press down. Overlap subsequent strips by approximately 5 cm. Then, make a double seam cut with a utility knife.
Substrate – special attention must be paid to: VOB Part C, DIN 18 363 fd Substrate testing: Section 3.1.1 All substrates must be load-bearing, air-dry, clean, and free of adhesion-reducing substances. Metals must be protected from corrosion. When repairing with cement-based materials, the surfaces must be lightly and coarsely fluted before applying MEGA 603 Megamur Hand Filler. On plasterboard, only fill chamfered and beveled board joints with paper strips or glass fiber mesh. Board joints may only be filled when no changes in length are expected due to temperature and humidity fluctuations.
Finishing: The filled surfaces can be lightly leveled with the finer MEGA 602 Megamur hand filler before coating. Dust-binding primer with MEGA 201 Plaster Primer, undiluted. All MEGA emulsion paints suitable for interior use can then be used, subject to the relevant technical data sheets.
Layer thickness: Max. 12 mm
Grain size: Approx. 0.3 mm
Dilution: Use undiluted. If necessary, use clean water. Cleaning of tools: Rinse with water immediately after use.
Drying time: Depends on layer thickness, building moisture, and ambient temperature. Approximately 8–10 hours at +20°C and 65% relative humidity. Allow longer drying times at cooler temperatures or higher humidity. Consumption: Guideline value = approx. 1 l/m² at a 1 mm layer thickness. Consumption varies depending on the substrate and application method.
Processing temperature: Min. + 5 °C for air and substrate
Storage: Cool, but frost-free. Shelf life in unopened condition: approximately 1 year. Ingredients: Calcium magnesium carbonate, volcanic glass minerals, aluminum silicate glass.
Disposal instructions: Observe legal regulations when disposing of waste. Giscode: BSW20
