Application of the thick-layer glaze UV+ :
Primer, intermediate and final coating for dimensionally stable wooden components such as windows and exterior doors.
Properties: special binder-pigment combination, optimal protection against UV radiation, good edge coverage, moisture-regulating, highly water-repellent, highly economical due to easy processing properties
Binder base: in alkyd resin
Application: Brush. Stir thoroughly before use. Dipping, spraying, and flow coating should only be performed in enclosed areas. Apply continuous strips in the direction of the wood grain using a soft, long-bristled brush. All colors are intermixable. Use clear outdoors only as a primer. To assess the color, a test coat on the original wood to be treated is recommended.
Substrate preparation: The substrate must be free of dirt and separating substances, and professionally prepared. We recommend treating native softwoods outdoors with MEGA Protect 242 Wood Preservative Impregnation or MEGA 184 Protect Impregnation Stain. The wood moisture content of dimensionally stable components must not exceed 13 ± 2%. According to the guidelines for window coatings published by the Federal Committee for Paint and Property Protection, wooden components must be treated with a primer and intermediate coat on all sides before installation.
Dilution: Ready to apply
Cleaning of tools: With MEGA 904 synthetic resin thinner
Consumption: Approx. 90 ml/m² per application
Dry film thickness: At 90 ml/m² on smooth, non-absorbent substrate approx. 60 µm
Drying: At 23°C and 50% relative humidity: dust-dry; recoatable: after approximately 4–5 hours; after 12 hours. Delayed drying may occur with woods rich in nutrients and in cold, wet weather.
Application temperature: Minimum +8°C object and ambient temperature. Special notes: Use MEGA 182 Protect Wood Stain UV+ colorless outdoors only as a primer.
Declaration of ingredients: Alkyd resins, inorganic and organic white and colored pigments, aliphatics, drying agents, anti-skinning agents, light stabilizers
Disposal instructions: Observe legal regulations for disposal. Waste code: EWC 08 01 11. Only empty containers should be recycled. Dispose of containers with residues at the collection point for old paint.
