Material type: Pure acrylic emulsion paint with BLUE-BIO.FILM.STOP technology. Particularly recommended for ceilings and walls in sanitary areas, as well as in storage and production areas with moderate to occasionally high moisture exposure. FAKOLITH's modern BIO.FILM.STOP technology effectively and reliably protects the paint film from mold and bacterial infestation.
Properties ■ Surface protection against mold, virus and bacterial infestation thanks to tested BLUE-BIO.FILM.STOP technology (DIN EN 15457:2014-11, ISO 21702:2019-05, ISO 22196:2011-08) ■ Wet abrasion: Class 1 ■ Contrast ratio: Coverage class 1 (< 5 m²/L / C1) ■ SD value = 0.27 m (V2) ■ W value = 0.08 (W3) ■ Low odor ■ Suitable for daily cleaning ■ Resistant to aqueous disinfectants ■ Excellent adhesion BLUE-BIO.FILM.STOP technology The selected combination of active ingredients creates a paint film with high qualitative and quantitative resistance to viruses, bacteria and fungi. The tests were conducted in accordance with DIN EN 15457:2014-11 (Testing the effectiveness of film protection - Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium), ISO 21702:2019-05 (Measurement of antiviral activity on plastics - Feline coronavirus, Strain Munich), and ISO 22196:2011-08 (Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics - Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus subtillis, Pseudonomas aeruginosa). The BIO.FILM.STOP technology has a preventative effect in the reversible phase. The formation of a biofilm on the surface of the coating is demonstrably inhibited by BioFilmStop prophylaxis. DISPERLITH FK 10 complies with the food hygiene requirements of Regulation (EC) 852/2004, Chapter II, “Special provisions for rooms where food is prepared, handled or processed”.
Areas of application DISPERLITH FK 10 is particularly suitable for applications - in swimming pools - in wellness areas - in the food industry - in healthcare - in hospitals - in the pharmaceutical industry
Thanks to BLUE-BIO.FILM.STOP technology, the protected paint film offers maximum germ-free protection for ceilings and walls in sanitary areas, kitchens and rooms where food is stored and produced.
Further recommendation : For damp rooms in which food is produced and the painted surfaces are cleaned daily, we recommend the highly durable emulsion paint DISPERLITH ELASTIC.
For substrates that come into direct contact with food, we recommend our products DISPERLITH FOODGRADE or FK 45 FOODGRADE, tested and certified according to Regulation (EC) 1935/2004, Regulation (EC) 1895/2005, Regulation (EC) 2023/2006, Regulation (EU) 10/2011, and Regulation (EU) No. 1282/2011. If you have any questions, please contact our technical department.
Substrates Substrate preparation according to VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures). The substrates must be dry and free from dirt and separating substances. Observe VOB, Part C, DIN 18363, Paragraph 3. The substrate preparation depends on the substrate: • Concrete: Remove release agent residues if necessary with FAKOLITH FK 11 Cleaner. Remove sanding substances and pre-treat the substrate with FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Primer. • Mineral plasters: Prime with FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Primer or DISPERLITH PRIMER. • Substrates infected with mold and bacteria: Clean with FAKOLITH FK 12, diluted 1:4 with water. Then apply a generous coat of FAKOLITH FK 14 aqueous anti-fungal solution. After cleaning, check the substrate for strength and apply FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Primer if necessary. DISPERLITH PRIMER can be used as an alternative to FAKOLITH FK 14 Antifungal and FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Penetrating Primer. DISPERLITH PRIMER can be applied from +4°C. • Substrates infected with yeast and bacteria: Clean with FAKOLITH FK 39. Then apply a generous coat of FAKOLITH FK 14 aqueous antifungal solution. After cleaning, check the substrate for strength and, if necessary, apply FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Penetrating Primer. DISPERLITH PRIMER can be used as an alternative to FAKOLITH FK 14 and FAKOLITH FK 16. DISPERLITH Primer can be applied from +4°C. • Substrates soiled with grease, oil, or soot: Clean with FAKOLITH FK 11, diluted 1:20 with water. After cleaning, check the substrate for strength and, if necessary, apply FAKOLITH FK 16 Deep Penetrating Primer. • Non-load-bearing coatings: Remove and clean the substrate. Apply FAKOLITH FK 16 deep penetrating primer or DISPERLITH PRIMER. • Sound emulsion paints: Check the strength of the old coating(s). Clean the surface. If necessary, strengthen chalky surfaces with FAKOLITH FK 16 deep penetrating primer or DISPERLITH PRIMER. • Iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, powder-coated metals: Prepare the surface and remove any residue of oil, grease, salt or dirt. Recommendation: Apply FAKOLITH FK 11 cleaner, diluted 1:20 with water, and clean off immediately. Wipe off with a solvent to prevent corrosion. Information on surface preparation methods can be found in DIN EN ISO 12944-4. Remove rust from oxidized surfaces. Apply FAKOLITH FK 9, leave to work for 10 minutes and then wash off again. Dry the surface for 1 hour and then wipe off with a solvent (e.g. universal thinner). Apply FAKOLITH FK 44-POX rust protection primer and adhesion promoter in 1-2 coats. FAKOLITH FK 44-POX is odorless and can be applied at temperatures above +4°C. The adhesion of FK 44-POX to powder-coated substrates must be confirmed by a tensile bond test. Please read the technical information and safety data sheets before application. Note the substrate moisture, test the strength of the old coatings using a cross-cut test, and clarify the spatial and temporal conditions at the object. Renovation and maintenance work in industrial spaces requires thorough planning. We recommend inquiring about the individual coating requirements and clarifying the on-site conditions before starting work: - Which cleaning agents will be used in what concentration, at what temperature, and how frequently during daily production? - What are the temperatures/humidity during the renovation work? We recommend coordinating the work in detail, taking into account the processing conditions and expected drying times. When will production resume? What moisture exposure can be expected, and when will the renovated section be cleaned for the first time? Application: Stir DISPERLITH FK 10 thoroughly. Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray. For spraying, we recommend the following settings: Nozzle = 5/17. Spray pressure: 200 bar. Application: Dilute 5% with water. Binder: Pure acrylic. VOC content: Category: a (Wb): Maximum 30 g/l VOC (Directive 2004/42/EC). The product contains a maximum of 30 g/l VOC. Pigmentation: Titanium dioxide rutile.
